Very Nice Place
This is 2009 and there was no smell of cigarette smoke. Our room was cleaning and welcoming. For Europe a good sized room. It looks like they recently redid it. The desk staff were helpful in every way. We found the walk fine. It felt good after having been on the train for 3-4 hours.

Good Place to stay
Hotel was good. Took as a while to find way from airport to hotel, but else was easy 20 min walk from city old town.
Traveller's tip on local attractions
Aquarium and science musuem is really worth a visit. Dophinarium is superb.

Hesperia Parque Central - August 2009
I’d definitely recommend this hotel to other people if you can get a decent price for your room. It was pretty much what you would expect of a 4 star hotel. The room I had was modern, clean, spacious and air conditioned and the hotel staff were friendly, polite and spoke English. There is also Internet access on a couple of computers in the lobby area. On the down side the hotel is in a bit of public transport black hole as there is no metro close by, unless you can figure out a convoluted route to town via the bus network. The nearest convenient metro station is actually at the Estacio(n) del Nord (Xátiva) but as long as you don’t mind the 1km walk or so back and forth its not too bad.
Traveller's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Try and get a room high up with a view of the major traffic junction in front of the hotel. It makes for some fantastic views of all the crazy traffic chaos in front of you and some wonderful photo opportunities. There again maybe I’m a bit weird and some travellers wouldn’t necessarily consider this a bonus !
