Fine location, clean, decent hotel
Right around the corner from the Omni, this clean, modern, comfortable hotel fit the demands of a first-time visitor to Miami. Easy access to downtown and South Beach areas. Front desk appears understaffed, but everything else is just dandy: nice rooms, swimming pool deck with great views of the Bay. Staff was very friendly and responsive. Expedia rate at the time of my booking made this one a bargain, as well.

Good deal for the price
Quite a lot of value for the money. I picked it because of its price and centrality for car travel. That worked out. Not a walking neighborhood though. Drive in, drive away. Upscale lobby, hallways, room. Attachment to mall were plusses. Very quiet in room. Had a problem was with computer access in room. Cable had broken endpiece. It should’ve been checked and replaced before I arrived. Despite several service calls, it never worked right. Before selection of hotel, I was told on the phone that the hotel had regular, not valet parking, at a lesser price. Once there, I learned that the alternative was a public parking garage somewhere across the street; the front desk emphasized the risk of parking there. I opted for the expensive valet parking. So you may want to factor in the cost of valet parking too. Next Miami business stay, I plan to check out Brickell location, less dense surroundings.

Ok...but could be better....
This hotel has all the potential to be a wonderful hotel. The staff was friendly and courteous, however, the overal services of the hotel leave something to be desired. The hotel room was clean and as presented on the websites. I enjoyed the Doubletree in Seattle, Wa (airport) more. The internet access was not wireless....major problem...why pay for a view when you can’t sit on the balcony with your computer and watch it. The food was ok...the apple pie, which was supposed to be a late night dessert was cold as ice and the milk was warm... I was disappointed. Breakfast was pretty good (very basic) it was delivered on time and was a good way to start the day. The bedding and mattresses were very comfortable. However, the air conditioning vent was in the wrong place and it blew directly over the beds AND it was too loud.
