An amazing location
You can’t expect to be in a better place, than this hotel. You feel you are part of the city, as you wake up in front of the Douro river. The only inconvenient, was the smal bedroom. But the view is worth it.

Ideal location on waterfront
The Pestana is ideaaly position on the bank of the River Douro....and within walking distance of all places of interest, although some streets can be rather steep! Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Many bars and restaurants in the vicinity.
Traveller's tip on local attractions
The City touring buses extend a perception of the town...and operate from within 300 yards of the hotel. A visit to the Port Lodges on the opposite bank of the river is recommended.

Wonderful hotel
Great location, helpful English speaking staff, riverview room definitely worth the extra cost.
