Not returning anytime soon...or ever.
The room was ok as far as cleanleness was concerned. I was located over the front door and in the middle of the night I was awakened up by the hotel bar patrons that were leaving at the close.Between the roudy hotel exiters and the intoxicated hotel bar patrons I hardly slept. This activity kept me awake for two nights. I returned home exhausted. I will never stay at the Harbour Hotel in Galway again!!

Nice but Noisy
The Harbour is a great modern hotel close to the center of Galway and all its attractions. Staff was very accommodating and pleasant, the rooms were clean and comfortable. The only complaint I have is the noise level in the rooms. We spent our first night in a room which opened to a parking garage and were kept up all night with the comings and goings of cars and noisy pedestrians in the garage. The hotel graciously moved us to another room the next day, but it too was noisy as it opened to the rear of the building which is in close proximity to an apartment building. Several nights there were quite loud arguments and yelling by the residents of the building which again kept us awake. I dont think another room would have been any better, as the staff admitted that the other side of the hotel had loud traffic noise from the adjacent road. I have to say that noise does not usually bother me, so this was at a pretty extreme level. I may stay at the Harbour again, but I would bring earplugs.
