Very handy for the tube station.

Good value centrally located hotel
We stayed in this hotel for one night mid week. It was by far the best value for a hotel located in this area, although the breakfasts (not included in our package price) were on the expensive side. We opted to eat elsewhere. We were not happy with the first room, and were reallocated a different room with no fuss. If you want a standard, clean, practical hotel in the city, you cant go far wrong with this hotel.
Head for a stroll along over Tower Bridge, and along the river bank towards London Bridge. There are plenty of pubs and restaurants in Borough to suit most tastes.

Nice surprise as selected without usual family or friend recommendation
Booked last minute, room for 3 adults - worried about location in relation to sights. It is a few stops from kings cross (tower hill underground) but soon found our way around. Hotel is 50 yards from this station and near to St Catherines dock for local eats and a drink. Staff very professional and pleasant and breakfast good and plentiful, set us up for a days wandering around. Thought we had a problem with pull out bed and shower but chambermaid sorted both for us and also supplied extra towels and toiletries without us asking when she was sorting this. Very good for price paid.
Buy a day travel pass on underground £5.60 available after 9.30am for all day hopping on and of for sightseeing
