Highly Recommended
The Hotel is centrally located within half hours walk of all the major sights except the Vatican. Situated in a quiet residential area next to Rome’s main park the hotel is splendid as the name suggests. The staff were excellent and the room was large with a comfortable bed,safety deposit box,mini-bar etc as you’ld expect (only complaint no tea making facilities in room ) Bathroom was equally spacious. We had a great time and would have no hesitation in recommending this Hotel to anyone.

Spelendide Royal
The doormen was less than welcoming on arrival and throughout our stay the doormen ignored us. The welcome from Reception was very good. They were helpful and advised us that a full breakfast was included in our stay. They phone to confirm our tour excursions and airport shuttle. Room service was excellent. The Bar was an extreme disappointment and an upsetting experience. However when I filled in complaint form, the General Hotel Manager came and apologised and gave us free drinks and nibbles. We also had a bottle of sparkling wine waiting in our room with another apology from the Room Division Manager. On departure check your bill carefully ours started off at 1,222 Euros and after 2 queries and amounts of cash being given back the bill came to approx 200s Euro
