Great Sonoma Option
The Best Western El Rancho is in tiny downtown Glen Ellen. It’s small, with comfortable, clean and bright rooms, lovely gardens and grounds and right on the creek. The staff was friendly and helpful and we could walk to excellent restaurants.
Be sure to eat at The Fig Cafe.

Good hotel for the price
We needed a nice hotel near the airport and this was it. Very friendly staff and nice room. Would stay again and did because our flight was cancelled and we stayed there two days later! Great shuttle to airport as well.

A very disappointing stay
The parking lot was packed so I thought it must be a good place. Well, half or more of the cars that jam up the parking lot are from people who leave their car there while they fly. It is a big business for them. Anyway, the rooms are dinghy (old and faded), the TV is cheap and ten years old, and my shower didn’t work (at all). When I called to get it fixed the first time, the message was that I would need to wait for a maintenance guy and that would be at least 30 minutes (understandable that the guy might be busy). Finally I called a second time and a different person told me I could move next door, but I would need to come to the desk to pick up the key and move my own luggage. Not a big hardship but it was a long walk. The AC unit is noisy. I think you can do better.
