Generally OK
The hotel is really the best in the area (except for the new Mazagan) and so we were happy to be there. It is situated outside the main town in a lovely peaceful area near the beautiful deserted beach. A ffew things could have been better at the hotel - it was impossible just to get snacks to eat during the day and the afternoon tea and moroccan pastries that were advertised was obviously a complicated request. The room was ok - a few things that were wrong were sorted quickly. The bath and shower could have done with an update and although the tub was clean the tiles could have done with a scrub. The staff were very pleasant. The golf course looked lovely as did the spa building. You do need a car here and it is not well signposted from the motorway. Driving in the town is a nightmare.
If you go to Marrakesh from here it is better to use the motorway to Casablanca and then the motorway again. The A roads although shorter were very hard work.

Good place if you golf and speak French
I dont play golf and I managed to communicate with the staff in Arabic, but it was frequently a labored conversation. The room was fine, and the food was adequate, but they seriously need to revise their menu. Quite a few things were advertised, but when you ask for them, they claim theyre out. Oysters, Duck, and bottles of Kronenbourg come to mind. Also, the hammam is not operating. Also, youre a bit far from the town, and they gouge you on the rates for a private taxi into town. Par for the course (pun intended) at a five-star hotel. Still, I can see how it would be heaven on earth to French speakers who love the game of golf.

Very good value for money
Well worth a visit if youre in transit along the coast of Morocco. The city of El Jadida itself is not very noteworthy but this hotel really made our short stay enjoyable, it has a great golf course, lovely grounds and pool. Right next to a beautiful beach. The restaurant was of a very high standard providing great food with top notch service as you would expect of a 5 star hotel, in fact it was probably the best in the area as it seemed to also attract a large number of non residents aswell. The staff very freindly and helpful. We would definately return perhaps for a golf holiday as it is ideal and to be honest you wouldnt really have to leave the hotel complex at all.....
