Great location
While the rooms are small, you cant beat the location - walking distance to pretty much everything. Being originally from St. Pete I can appreciate the improvements to the hotel service and quality of food that have been made over the years. Good place to stay, a bit pricey on food and services but otherwise thumbs up.

Pretty good
Overall, it was a pretty good stay. The location couldnt be much better and we had a cool view of St Isaacs from our room. Hotel is a bit old and the rooms dont quite live up to the hotels status, but the room was clean and quiet if not a tad overpriced. I would stay there again although Id look into other options too.
Traveller's tip on saving a few bucks
I wouldnt use the concierge desk at the hotel as its very pricey and the concierges themselves are nice but very inexperienced and prone to small mistakes. Plus the guides that you get only get a small amount of what you pay (with the hotel keeping the rest) and have to wait forever to get paid by the hotel. You are FAR better off cost wise arranging transfer and tours on your own (try peters walking tours) than the hotel.
