Hyatt Regency Woodfield-Schaumburg

Surprisinlgly, Not Impressed.

I wasn’t as pleased with this particular Hyatt as I have been with other Hyatt’s in the past. I found the staff to be unfriendly. The check in process took a long time because their computers were down. The first room we went to had someone else’s belongings in it. Had to wait for staff to find another room and bring a new key. The next room on another floor had no fridge. The one they delivered was dented and dirty. The staff was unapologetic. I’d expect that from a cheap motel, but certainly not a Hyatt. I could’ve stayed elsewhere in that area, but specifically paid more and chose Hyatt because of wonderful past experiences. Oh well, won’t stay at that one again.

Traveller's tip on dining

Had dinner at Morton’s a few blocks away on McConnor Parkway. What a wonderful dining experience. Simply excellent.

The decor was exceptional, loved the walk-in shower & the king sized bed was covered with pillows! I wish I could have stayed more then one night. The staff went out of their way to help me with directions

Classy Hotel

My girlfriend and I recently stayed here at the Hyatt and will definitely come back. The hotel room itself was very modern looking. Every piece of furniture in the room looked brand new. Hotel is placed right on Golf Road providing easy access to Woodfield and all of the neighboring strip malls.

Woodfield Hyatt

Hotel Has gone through some major renovations. Colors of decor not very good, very drab. Workout room was okay, limited amount of space, but very good pool facility. Beds were very comfortable, room was a good size but bathroom was very small for two people. No turn down service. Right across street to major shopping mall and several restaurants are close by. Hotel restaurant not bad, but very expensive compared to what is around it. No valet parking no bellman service. Despite recent renovations, still shows some signs of age. Location though is very convenient.

Superb Stay!

Lot’s of little touches make this a great place to stay! The staff was friendly and we even received a follow up call after check in to make sure our room was satisfactory! Nice touch- cotton balls and q-tips in bathroom, I always seem to forget those, lol. The shampoo, conditioner and bath soap were already in a holder in the shower. Nice touch! Just like at home. The blowdryer was excellent and not the very basic you tend to see elsewhere! Overall, very satisfied!

Outstanding Hotel

Ambience lovely; even bathroom fixtures and shower ultra-modern and the whole room spotlessly clean. Bed was heavenly. Food was a little pricey, but it is a Chicago suburb after all. Would stay again, the price was more than reasonable.

Fantastic Hotel

The hotel was fantastic: the food, service, location, cleanlines were all top notch. The room itself was very large and the decor was beautiful. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was a perfect size with modern fixtures. I can not say enough good things about this hotel and no I do not work for this company. I will be coming back.

great weekend value

spacious well appointed rooms. the only improvement I would like to see is an airport shuttle, or a prix-fix cab arrangement.

Good hotel for price

My husband and I are on a mini-honeymoon, and stayed at the Hyatt Regency to begin our trip. Overall, we were very pleased with our stay. It was clean and offered nice amenities. The only downside was how congested the pool was, but I suppose this bodes well for the hotel!

Amazing hotel for the price!

This hotel was fabulous. The service was great and for the price we paid it totally exceeded expectations. The bed was so comfortable, the room was clean and the bathroom was really nice. I don’t stay at enough hotels to base this opinion on anything, but I was surprised that there was a surcharge to use the wireless internet in the rooms. I thought Wi-Fi was free everywhere these days. Other than that, we had a great stay and it was so close to the mall and restaurants. It made our stay in Schaumburg that much better!

Pool Troubles

We specifically picked this hotel because it boasted an indoor and outdoor pool. When arriving we found that the indoor pool was down for "emergency maintenance". The front desk clerk told us the pool would be open the next day, however when we looked at the indoor pool the repair was FAR from being completed. If you are looking for a hotel with "pool options" call ahead.

Worth the Value

Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel was kept immaculately clean and smelled fresh. Location was in walking distance of Woodfield mall and a variety of restaurants. Overall stay was excellent.

Nice decor and fair price

Very nice clean room, comfortable bed and linens. Good smaller bar in lobby and decent restaurant as well. Have stayed twice and liked it both times. The housekeeping staff were a bit noisy in the morning but we had no other complaints.

Comfortable but noisy

The hotel and room were great. It was clean and updated ... we just had a badly located room. We stayed over the weekend and our room was positioned just a few steps up from the main ballroom hall. It was the main traffic area for a singles party and a wedding reception...very loud and difficult to sleep. Very good location for girls’ shopping trips!

Room was fine for the money.

I received a good deal on the 3 nights that we stayed. The king bed room would have been perfect for the business traveler, but for 2 it was too cramped in the bathroom. You could definitely tell that the hotel had been updated and was very nicely decorated. The bathroom though while it did have nice features, was very cramped, only 1 person coudld use it at a time. It is located in a nice business district. But if your looking for a good value with updated linens and features then this would be your hotel.

Outstanding Hotel

Great room for the money"

Hyatt.....expeected the best and GOT IT!

I’ve stayed at the Hyatt before and it was great. This time was even better. Customer service was Excellent. Room was very plus and comfortable. Bathroom was very nice and the bed I could’ve taken home with me. The restaurant was great and the valet service was top notch. I will stay there again just to stay there. There are 2 hotels worth staying in and this is number one on my list.

Not what I thought

Room is very small, although they are clean. Beds are full size, although bedding is very nice. No hand towel or wash cloth, although toothpaste, facial and body massage soap, and cotton balls and swabs left.
