Convenient Location, Service Needs Improvement
The hotel is conveniently located near the city center, within walkable distance to the Castle, the District Six Museum, the Slave Lodge, the Company’s Garden, as well as the bustling town centre filled with cafes, shops, and open air markets. However, for an American traveler, the hotel service was kind of odd. The housekeeping staff came in our room while we were napping/asleep to change our tea set; it was an uncomfortable invasion of privacy, but nothing malicious came out of it. Also, the staff was sometimes not diligent in calling our taxis on time...we were late to some engagements because of that.
