Non-Smoking Hearty Breakfast is a JOKE
There were smokers in the stairwell and the hallway and the smoke came into our room, it was very strong. We woke up in the morning to the smell of cigerette smoke even though our room was non-smoking. Hearty Breakfast advertised on the sign outside was cold cereal, bagels, toast and doughnuts.
Traveller's tip on dining
Star Brewery was the best resturant I’ve been to in a long time. It is beautiful inside and the service and food was wanderful.

Contintental Breakfast
Was nice to be able to grab a bite before leaving motel; however, they could use a bigger lobby for this as there was not enough room to accommodate all there at that time.

Outstanding Staff
We arrived a day early and Nickki, our hostess was gracious and helped us with Hotels.com. At first we had a problem with Hotels.com because we reached outsourced personnel. However, after 3 calls we reached an operator who talked directly to Nickki, who explained that she had a room and because it was a Friday night, we were only charged at additional $10. To get a huge room, on the top floor we had to take smoking, but we opened windows; we were given a bus ticket to go the casino, and room aired out. On Sat there was a free show in the park and the River Walk is beautiful. We had friends to visit and this motel was beyond our expectations. It was quiet though on such a busy street. Free ride to Casino was a big plus and breakfast included the usual rolls, but also fresh fruit AND juice, and you could eat until 9 am. They did not run out of food. They let us stay in one day and skip getting our sheets changed and never knocked and respected our do not disturb sign. Beds were comfortable. I even left a tip and it was not taken so we left a tip as we walked out of the room. ONE COMPLAINT, no elevator and you need to be prepared for that. We are seniors and I have a bad knee but did the steps one at a time and the steps are not high.
