Not luxury but not bad
I booked this hotel myself through Expedia but joined a large group all attending a celebration locally. It was a weekend and there was at least one large wedding party. The reception staff were very efficient both on check in and departure, however I met the same very capable person - there were others. The room was clean and comfortable with good facilities. The decor was dated but so am I! Breakfast was well presented and the staff worked hard to give immediate attention and replenish the buffet in good time. They managed it well with a large number of people including one party who had a champagne reception at the same time. The service was excellent. The person booking for the group I joined did not have the same experience with the staff behind the scenes. Get that area up to par with the front of house staff in the meantime book through Expedia and you don’t need to deal with them.
Traveller's tip
Ideally need own transport - Beaconsfield has good transport links to London and is fairly centrally placed for other interesting places. The hotel is quite close to the M40 so driving North or a stop on the way to Heathrow is convenient. If you are planning a wedding - the group staying at the same time seemed very happy with all the arrangements.
