Pretty good
for such a price its a good quality and good hotel. location looks not so convenient, but it takes 7-10 mins walk to the metro and 10-15 mins to reach the centre. plus you can check other St.Pete by living in this hotel.

Water stinks at the hotel
Its an old soviet hotel with everything saved since Soviet times. Linens and blankets look like they are more than 50 years old. There is no fridge in the room. But the worst thing about the stay is the tap water. Its yellowish and stinks. If you turn the tap water on and stand next to the sink without leaning, you can smell how badly the water stinks. Its impossible to brush teeth or take a shower in such water. I guess, its the problem with pipes, they are old, rusty and havent been cleaned in a long while. Not sure if its just a problem of the hotel or St. Petersburg in general. A good thing about the hotel was its location (20 minute walk from subway) and free wifi. Surprisingly for Russia, it worked fine. I would recommend calling the hotel directly next time and finding out if their tap water is good. If the same - stay in a different area of St. Petersburg.
