Would visit again
This hotel has a wonderful location with views over the stunning coastline and direct access to beach. It is a little way out of the town centre (which suited us). Very relaxing. The outdoor pool is large enough and quiet enough to really swim in and sparkling clean. Breakfast choice excellent including eggs, omelettes and waffles freshly cooked to order. Best of all was the breakfast pianist. Evening entertainment disappointing though.
Traveller's tip on dining
There is a wonderful beach restaurant, the Atlantide, very close to the hotel. Excellent food and value with friendly waiters.

Nice hotel, but not a great hotel
This is a nice hotel but not 5 star quality. The restaurant and bar prices were expensive - over 6 euros for 2 small coffees or soft drinks. I think this reflected in the lack of people in the bar of an evening. Luckily there were a few local cafe restaurants which gave good value for money. We’ve been to a Pestana hotel before but we were a little disappointed with this one although the grounds are lovely with lots of greenery.
