Bad Experience
I stayed at the Antwerp Hilton for couple of nights in September 2009, and had a very bad experience with the room TV, as the hotel TV circut was not working well, and the TV did not work properly.

Diamond in the city of diamonds
I really enjoyed my stay at the Antwerp Hilton. This time I was visiting for leisure, but I had previously been there on business. The location is excellent: right at the heart of the old city, where events and festivals take place every weekend in the summer and you wake up at the sound of the cathedral bells. The days I was there, the Antwerp Iron Man Triathlon competition was taking place. The service was excellent both at the reception and the restaurant. The staff were very attentive and professional. The breakfast buffet had a big selection of top quality breakfast items. The room was well decorated, spacious and bright. It had all the necessary amenities. I had the opportunity to use the gym, which seems to have been recently renovated. It was not crowded and it had a great selection of equipment.

Very hard to fault!
If you read my review of the Ostend Ramada, you will see that I do highlight faults when I find them. However, my stay in this hotel would be difficult to top. It was simply outstanding. Antwerp is very underrated as a European city break and the Hilton is superbly located for exploration on foot.
The standard of buskers outside the cathedral is very high and can add another dimension to an al fresco dining experience at the many wonderful bars and restaurants in this area. A boat trip around the docks may not seem an obvious thing to do on holiday, but Antwerp is Europe’s 2nd largest port and 5th in the world and the Flandria trip is a real eye opener.
