Nobody cares
Too far off from main attractions. Unless you are renting a car, or can speak spanish and navigate the public transportation choices you will stuck. A cab from the hotel to the airport ran quite high because transportation workers were on strike. The room key has to be placed on a socket for the electric to work, inconvinient if some people want to go out and others want to stay on the room. Face cloth are not 6x6, they insist you want a bidet towel instead. Once you get them, they "forget" to replace them. Changing regular towels seems to complicated, I was stuck without a shower until pass 11:00 pm after a long day because they didnt put towels for 2 on the room. The girl at the desk didnt knew where the towels were because "it was not her dept" the security person that came at 11:00 was who brought me the towels. The hotel changes to heating Oct 1 even if it is boiling sunshine outside. When I complained on their corporate site while I was still there, I got a note from head of the front desk to stop by to come and see him. I guess he was too busy to come upstairs and see me instead. The pools was also closed because it was too "cold outside". 80+ degrees all week. This hotel does not get that they business is to please visitors not locals, they judge confort by local standards not visitors, and they simply dont care when you express disconfort. Pay more, stay somewhere else.
If you visit the Sagrada familia, do yourself the favor go up to the towers. The view is magnificent. If you are facing the front of the ticket office go to the left and you will find a pretty decent buffet place. It is the most economical place in blocks around the church. We walked for quite a while around the area and came back to it. Local transport is great, buy a T-10 card, it will get you 10 rides, you can use any combination of buses, subway, tram, or air gondolas within 1h and 15m and it only counts as 1 ride.

Nice apartments
If any of you are used to normal hotel rooms, then you will be pleasantly surprised by the amount of space you have here. great place to stay, about 45 mins from center Barcelona, but worth the distance for cost and space. already planning when we will be back :-)

Good clean comfortable hotel just outside of Barcelona
The hotel was much better than its 3 star rating, it was well maintained, rooms spacious and comfortable and beds were great with a firm mattress. The living room was separate from the bedroom and it had a comfortable sofa and table with 4 chairs, there was also a small balcony. The kitchenette was basic with 2 electric rings, a fridge freezer and microwave and the set supplied didnt include a chopping knife or vegetable peeler or can opener so was a bit inconvenient. It takes approx half an hour to get into Bacrelona city centre with the tram stop around 5 minutes away and a bus stop on the same road of the hotel takes you to the foot of Las Ramblas and Barcelona Sants train station so was very handy.
Barcelona is filled with cultural sights and attractions and the best way to get around in public transport as the metro (underground) has 5 lines. La Sagrada Familia in the Exiample district is a must see. It is Antoni Gaudis masterpiece and is still being built today, the entrance fee is reasonable at 11euros and there is a museum and shop on the site.
