Good hotel

The hotel was excellent and the room they gave us was one of the family rooms which was very spacious. Buffet breakfast was also very good. I would strongly recommend this hotel, would certainly stay again if we were back in the area

The Stratford

Comfortable clean and a BATH!!! Infact a lovely bathroom. Breakfast very good with lots of choice. Friendly helpful staff. Few minutes walk to all that Stratford has to offer. I would visit again. Recommended.

so comforable

We had a deluxe room and it was worth the extra money, very roomy with sofa and arm chairs. As I had just come out of hospital after a knee replacement this was very important. we were quite happy to have chill out in the room during the day as it had all the comforts of home. We ate in the restaurant in the evening and the food was first class. Room service continental breakfast with more than enough for two. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful and without a doubt we will be staying there again.

Very pleasant staff, clean and modern

All the staff here are very friendly and greet you with a smile. It’s modern decor is comfortable and the rooms are very clean. I can highly recommend a meal in the restaurant, the food was very tasty. I have a wheat and dairy intollerance so refused a roll with my meal and was offered gluten-free bread which has been a first visiting hotels since being diagnosed 10 years ago! Amazing service, very highly recommended.

Blooming Wonderful

Ample free parking and a warm welcome on arrival. It was our first visit to Stratford and were impressed that we were offered a local map. The receptoinist even highlighted the local attractions and gave us a rough idea on how long it would take to walk to each of them. The hotel was beautiful and had obviousley recently been decorated. As we’d only booked a standard room we did wonder if we’d be located at the back of beyond in a broom cupboard and much to our surprise we couldn’t have got a better room. It was clean & modern and very tastefully decorated. The location of the hotel was excellent, only a 5 minute walk to the centre and all the tourist attractions. The only gripe we did have was at breakfast. It was busy during our stay and they seemed very short staffed. There just weren’t enough staff to clear the tables and we feel this let the hotel down. No-one wants to see lots of dirty tables and guests queueing, waiting to be seated. However the staff were courtious and friendly. We didn’t eat in the restaurant though the lunch and evening menue did look very good. Over all we had a wonderful stay, would definately go back and would highly recommend the Statford.

Traveller's tip on saving a few bucks

Dont be tempted to have a drink at the White Swan Hotel in the town. 9 pounds for a pint of beer and a glass of wine which was awful.

Great hotel with a superb location.

Modern clean hotel with friendly staff. The restaurant had lots of choice for breakfast and reasonable deals in the evening. It’s location was only a 5 minute walk at most to Stratford town centre.

Excellent Hotel

This hotel is in excellent condition, huge room with a lovely queen sized bed, clean and bright bathroom. Bar and restaurant area decoration impeccably. Buffet breakfast fresh and delicious. Definitely deserving of its 4 Stars !!

Great hotel and great value

This hotel is highly recommended. It is near to town, there was no noise. The rooms are very well decorated and very clean. I would certainly recommend this to anyone - either staying on business or pleasure. A really good hotel with a good breakfast.

Excellent for a short break

We stayed over the Easter weekend and went with a little trepidation as we had been trying to understand from the hotel for a number of weeks if they had any plans for the children over Easter, but kept getting fobbed off - however, we arrived and had the best stay!!! the rooms were ovely - we were a group of 6, 2 adults and one child per room and had a glorious couple of days. Hotel in excellent location, being literally 5 minutes walk into Stratford Upon Avon main street.

Not much on site for weeny people unless it is a special occasion such as easter, so take colouring or similar to keep them occupied if planning on staying in the hotel for a drink etc.

Top of the range Hotel

Rooms are of the highest quality in every respect. Had just stayed at 2 very good hotels in the same week but this surpassed them in design, comfort and quality.

Brilliant hotel

This hotel is in a very good location, 10 mins walk to the centre and set back away from the road so there is no noise. The room we stayed in was modern and very comfortable. Reception were helpful and the breakfast was very enjoyable. I’d definetly return here and recommend this to anyone wanting to visit Stratford-upon-avon

Warwick castle is definetly worth a visit - a lot to do and brilliant photographs.

Close to everything

The Stratford is a few minutes walk from the station and about 5 minutes walk into town so it is very central. The staff was extremely helpful at check in/out and the breakfast (fully cooked buffet) was excellent. Everything was very modern and new. Our room was spacious, modern and clean. The only negatives were the room did smell of food when the air/heat was on but we turned it off and opened the windows and that got rid of it. Also, the bed was a little hard. I would definitely stay here again for either business or pleasure and would highly recommend it.

The walking tour of the city was excellent and reasonably priced. Do it the first day you arrive in Stratford Upon Avon to orient yourself to the town, learn the history, see the main sights and get tips for other things to do, where to eat and coupons.

Hotel was very nice, clean and tidy. The food was excellent if a little over priced. Was in a very central location for all the sights in the centre of Stratford.

Well situated good quality hotel

Stayed at The Stratford for a couple of nights of kids free time. Hotel was clean and comfortable. Very well located with easy parking. Slight problem at breakfast one morning as restaurant full - however dealt with politely and efficiently by restaurant staff. Great breakfast - eggs freshly cooked and black pudding too!

Beautifully refurbished

The hotel has recently undergone a refurbishment and the rooms are very tastefully decorated. The staff were efficient yet unobtrusive and whilst the bar drinks were expensive, you come to expect this in a business-type hotel. Great location on the top edge of town and my only complaint was that staff couldn’t cope with a wedding party at breakfast the next morning and so you have to wait in reception for a breakfast table. A bit of forward planning and this hotel would have scored top marks.

Really Lovely Hotel

This is a really modern hotel with lovely spacious bedrooms - with beautiful large beds and lovely duvets. the bathrooms are also excellent. Although, like most hotels, drinks are not cheap! An added bonus is on-site free parking and the hotel is well within walking distance of all major attractions. We had a wonderful stay. Highly recommended

A lovely weekend!

I took my two teenagers for a weekend in Stratford and we shared a room. it was lovely - although my son said it was more comfortable having his mattress on the floor than on the sofa bed! Our internet wasn’t working so one of the employees spent ages fixing it - he wouldn’t give up and eventually came in armed with a huge tool box! Everybody was pleasant and the atmosphere was lovely - would definitely stay there again.

Having just undergone renovations the hotel was beautifully decorated. We had booked for 2 adults and 1 child but upon arrival were only allocated a double room. Upon showing reception the receipt this was resolved immediately by very helpful staff. Would recommend a stay here.

Good location, comfortable, modern hotel.

Enjoyed our stay at the Stratford. Close to railway station and just a few minutes from shops and attractions. Rooms were spacious, well equipped and comfortable. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Would definately stay here again. Unable to comment on restaurant as we ate in Stratford.

Fine Hotel

Very comfortable hotel in the middle of the city. Near to all Shakespeare` attractions. Fine breakfast. Note 10 to the staff.

Great stay

Great location some 5 minutes walk from Shakespeare’s house. Undergoing the final piece of a major refurb - room was excellent, breakfast good quality and plenty of it
