Friendly hotel in the Inta muros in St Malo.
The hotel Du Louvre is situated within the old city, signposted "Intra Muros". Set in the narrow cobbled streets, it can be difficult to find at first. Fortunately, we have printed a map of the area, and once we sorted out the one-way streets, it was easy, but picking our way through crowds of pedestians was slightly stressful. Obviously, there is little parking in the old city, but they arranged a three day pass for the car parks that were only a five minute walk away, at the martina, outside the walls and close to the tourist Information office. There are limited catering facilities in the hotel, serving only buffet breakfast, which we did not try, so can’t comment on it. But not far away, there are plenty of cafes and restaurants, with menus and prices to suit most people. this includes breakfast (continental, of course!). Overall, we had a very pleasnt three day stay at the hotel. The staff are friendly, and speak good English.
Traveller's tip on dining
There are restaurants spread throughout the old city, but there is a concentration along the wall from the gate nera the hotel, to the main square, near the medieval Chateau.

Excellant vacation city.
Room small but clean. Staff very friendly. AM breakfast adaquate. No bacon and eggs. Good location.

Highly recommend St. Malo as a vacation stop. Clean city, friendly people, good driving distance to San Michael.
