perfect situation
Stayed here with my 90 year old wheelchair bound mother, and found it suited us perfectly- right on the pedestrian streets with lots of restaurants, and the designer shops. It is also only 100m from the pedestrian bridge to the old town, and 150m from Place Bellecour with the Metro and tourist bus We had a 1 bed appartment, which was very comfortable- I slept on the sofa bed in the lounge, my mother had the double bed. There was a 2 ring cooker, microwave and small dishwasher, plus adequate cutlery china and cooking equipment for 4. Our room looked onto an inner courtyard so was quiet- I suspect the enes overlooking the restaurants may have been noisier No aircon, but we could open the windows, and 2 fans were supplied Bathroom small but had good shower and small bath, hairdrier etc There is a small supermarket and excellent breadshop just round the corner, so no need to pay 9euro for their breakfast All in all a perfect choice for the tourist
Buy a Lyon card- free entry to most museums, use of public transport, boat trips, and many other discounts. Sold for 1 to 3 days at tourist office in Place Bellecour

Never again
This was our third stay here at this hotel and the hotel has gone downward in a spiral. Upon check-in there is no parking so good luck. I had made reservations 5 months in advance for a parkinig space at the hotel and when we got there they had no reservation even after I made the hotel reservations and called back to reconfirm. The room was not clean the bathroom smelled of urine and got so bad we had to keep the door closed. Later we found out they have a mold problem and that was what caused the horrible smell. No matter what they lower the cost of the room to we will never stay there again and will not recommend to anyone.

Great Location - Terrible Hotel, Unless on a Low Budget
The hotel location and parking availability was the main attraction. Location is very good, however, it is impossible to arrive at the hotel by car. While the hotel has a garage, the entry is blocked. One has to park somewhere else (not an easy task given the location) and walk to the hotel to obtain a parking token, which then opens the barrier to the street leading to the garage. This is a budget hotel with a room that has a small kitchen but no bed. The bed is a sofa bed - uncomfortable. Rooms are unpleasant and not very clean. Carpets and bath are worn and in need of replacement. The staff was a bad rendition of the "keystone Cops". Even though I prepaid the room for two nights, they charged my credit card twice more. After interminable discussions, I was able to have a refund of the triple charges to only one charge. However, I stayed there for only one night and was charged for two nights. The manager at the hotel assured me that the second night would be reimbursed and even though we were there in July, the charge for the second night has not been reimbursed. Conclusion: if on a budget and arrive on foot, the hotel is OK as the neighborhood is interesting; else, stay away. Many other better hotels are available in the same area for about the same price.
