Not a 4 star hotel
My friends stayed in the Hilton across the street which was too pricey for me so I stayed at the Best Western Ilisia. The first room had low ceilings,dark, small and had furniture with brass. Probably from 1970. Very outdated. the second room was with a queen bed and higher ceilings...a tad better. The rooms were very clean though and the coffee was good. Some employees were very friendly and others were not. I stayed a total of 5 nights.

I was very happy to have chosed this hotel
I went to Athens for a conference. The location of the hotel was great as it is just across the street from the Hilton where the conference was held. It is also close to a metro station (10 minutes walk) that goes also to the airport (6 Euro compared with over 30 Euro for a taxi). It took me about 20 minutes to walk to the Acropolis and less than that to walk to the city center. You can get to these locations also by the Metro (again, the station is close) or by taxi. The staff is very friendly; the room was nice, clean and quiet. There was no view out the window, but for me it did not really matter. I found it to be a good value for money pick and I am happy to have chosen to stay at the Best Western Ilisia.
