Mixed Feelings
The Hotel was very much a place to stay for a short duration (we stayed a week)-say 2-4 days. It was not busy but coaches did stop overnight during tours of the Island. The reason why overall satifaction rating was down was largely because of the Swimming Pool situation. Opening hours were limited and external classes were held from 4-6pm (often 7pm) 4 days a week. This restricted pool space and it was quite noisy. Also their were no sunbeds just deckchairs and head caps had to be used all the time when in the pool. (not so in all hotels) There was also a lack of paperwork about the areas attractions and the piano bar was never operational.
Traveller's tip on local attractions
Valley of the Temples including museum. Villages in the mountains. Beaches towards the West. Some good restaurants.

Dont expect too much - and you wont be disappointed!
The hotel is close to the Valley of the Temples and is used by coach parties, who stay one night and move on. Situated in a light industrial/retail area the initial impression is not that good! However, the staff try hard, are friendly and mostly speak good English. The pool is a good size and like the rest of the hotel kept clean and tidy. The breakfasts are OK, but the food in the evening is DREADFULL. There are two other resturants within 3 minutes walk and are much better. If you are not with a coach party you must have your own transport, there is nothing, apart from the other resturants, within several miles, and that includes the beach. Use the hotel as a base to explore the Western side of the island. Mt Etna for example, is about 2 hours drive away.
