Very small room
The location of the hotel was excellent and the hotel itself was fine. Our room, however, was extremely small, dark and not very comfortable.

OK Hotel - Great Location
This was our second stay in this hotel and will probably continue to stay there for future trips. This is not a 4 star hotel but the proximity to the French Quarter is great. It is far enough away that you dont have all of the noise from the partying but its close enough that you can walk to most any of the French Quarter tourist destinations. The room we had was small and in need of an update. There were marks on the carpet and walls and the bedding was not so new. The linens also were not of the best quality. However - the staff was nice and helpful. For anyone not wanting to stay in a luxury hotel but one that is convenient for location and price - this would be the place to stay!!!
A must do is the Jean Lafitte Swamp & Airboat Tour. We did the Airboat ride and it was FANTASTIC. For a little extra $$ they pick you up at your hotel and deliver you back after the tour. The tour was almost 2 hours long and full of information about the habitat and wildlife. Ask for Captain Lou - he was GREAT!!!

Parking Issues
The hotel was good overall. The only thing that I was not happy with was the parking. I had to park 2 blocks away in a parking garage which cost 35 dollars, but in New Orleans French Quarter parking is an issue so the hotel was good.
