Lounge with beautiful view over Amman
It is hard to compete four stars hotel while you are living in Dubai, but so far the Marriott in Amman is a good location and the staff are very friendly. If you are a member of the Marriott, you can use the lounge on the 12th floor and this is really a treat to watch the sunset over Amman and have a nice glas of wine from the local vineyard!
Traveller's tip on local attractions
Of course a must Petra! It is a three hour drive but Petra is amazing!

Great place - but not for relaxing
Checking into this hotel is like going through airport security (thanks for that)... but which reminds you where you are....
Traveller's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Local taxis are extremely cheap. Why not hire a Marriott hotel taxi driver to take you around Amman and to the border to the West Bank during afew hours for very little money (about $20/hour).

Breakfast or no breakfast?
This is a nice hotel and good value in Amman. Service is friendly and it is close to other attractions, so you can walk around. The one issue to watch out for on Expedia bookings is whether the breakfast buffet is included, sometimes it is not.
