Excellent hotel but a little far away from everything
I stayed for business for a few days and then for a holiday at the end. The hotel is very trendy if a little cold feeling. The art work around the hotel is facinating. There was a mix up when I arrived and I was but in a lower class room than I had paid for - the Gallery room rather than a Bookend room. Eventually when I worked out what had happened the hotel were very quick to correct everything. Im not clear whether the mistake was Expedias or the hotel. It was a very good stay nonetheless. The pool was a welcome relief and not busy at all. Only problem is it is very overlooked and surrounded by building work going on at 2 other hotels. It did look like this would be finished soon. We spent a lot of time in Clarke Quay - perfect for relaxing by the river with great food and wine. The MRT is near there as well. In the heat its a good 15-30min walk depending on how drained you are from the heat. I loved the hotel but would stay closer to Clarke Quay next time.

Dont try to do too much. My husband and I found the heat very draining. The river cruise is brilliant and Clarke Quay is excellent. We spent most time here. The zoo and Night Safari are well worth the visit but take a taxi. High Tea at Equinox on the 70th floor of the Swisshotel was a definate highlight.

High Standard
Pleasant and friendly staff, clean and neat minimalist room styles. Bathroom area rather compact when shared by two. Hotel well sited beside the river front and walking distance to most amenities.
