Convenient with good restaurant
The Sorat is only a short walk (10-15 mins) from the Media Harbour area. It is undergoing change having been taken over recently by the Mercure chain. The hotel is clean and the staff are helpful (be patient, they are often busy!). The restaurant does good food and the genial service was excellent. The split-level top floor rooms are a nice feature and have comfortable beds.
Get to breakfast early! The restaurant is very busy at breakfast times and you may find it difficult to find a seat, particularly if you are in a group.

Would go back
Was on business, a quick trip and in general it was a nice hotel, in line with the price. It was slightly bigger considering Europe’s standards.
Traveller's tip for business travellers
It is well connected through the local transit system, but it is a better option for attending meetings in nearby thriving district. I would not stay there to visit downtown.

A 15 min walk to the old town
We thought it would be a dive as it was so cheap but actually it wasn’t that bad. Breakfast was pretty good too and you can park for free on the street outside the hotel.
