Good alternate location for downtown ZRH
Only 2 stops on the S-Bahn (less than 10min)from the main train station in ZRH, the hotel is a good alternate if ZRH is busy, and has lots of shops and places to eat near the hotel. Also the No. 11 Tram takes you to ZRH (all the way to the lake) and it stops in front of the hotel .. which is just across the street from the Train station.
Traveller's tip on saving a few bucks
Go to the COOP, and grab a Brat and a Beer and sit in the plaza behind the hotel and have an enjoyable lunch while people watching.

Excellent accomodation but dine elsewhere
The Starbucks in the foyer jars a bit but the welcome from the staff more than makes up for this. Our 26th floor corner room had a stunning view over the city and Oerlikon station which looked like a model railway! The included breakfasts were excellent but the dinners we had in the hotel were only average and not worth the price.
Traveller's tip
Eating out in Zurich is horrendously expensive. For good Swiss food at a more reasonable price try Brasserie Federal at the Hauptbahnhof. Forget preconceptions about bad railway food - this is the real deal in impressive surroundings.
