Relaxing after a long flight to Hamburg
A great experience. Stayed for two full days. My room overlooked the canal. It was peaceful and beautifully decorated. Very modern and tastefully designed and decorated. Great gym/pool. Top location(a few blocks from the Jungfernstieg S-Bahn stop using the Rathhaus exit). Breakfast was not included and the cost, for me--on a budget, was steep because the US $$ exchange rate is so low. But the choices were extensive and the service was excellent so I treated myself after a long flight. Close to all major shopping and the inner Alster Lake.I highly recommend this hotel.
Traveller's tip on saving a few bucks
Take the S-bahn(the S-1)to the center of the city for less than 3 Euros.Exit at the stop after the Hauptbahnhaus(central train station)to get to this hotel.It is about a 20-minute trip.When returning to the airport,get on one of the first 3 cars,because one stop before the airport the train divides into 2 routes. All signs and announcements are bilingual: English and German. Very easy to navigate!

luxury hotel and very good location
it is an excellent luxury hotel with a river view restaurant and rooms. the room was spacious and the bathroom was elegant, spacious has stand-up shower and bath-top. the floor hallways has a very nice smell that you wait for every time you come back to the hotel.

Be aware!!!!!
Although the hotel was centrally located and of a very clean and neat appearance, the biggest dissappointment was that never did the reception staff make mention that the car park in the hotel grounds was a "public" car park and not belonging to the hotel. I was presented with a bill for 24 euros for the car park facility for the night. I would have been easier and cheaper to park on the street opposite the hotel where car parking spaces were available.
