Reasonable hotel

Staff were very helpful and the hotel is clean if a little tired in places. Pool area is small with limited sunbeds which aren’t always in the sun. Worth paying a little extra for an executive room if you’re planning to spend much time at the hotel during the day/early evening as hotel prices are expensive.

Traveller's tip on nightlife

Clarke Quay (20 mins), Boat Quay (30 mins) and Esplanade (35 mins) are a pleasant stroll along the Singapore River and provide much cheaper and more varied dinning and drinking options. If you can’t stand the evening heat then jump in a cab for a few quid.

Room for Improvement

I felt this hotel by Sigapore service standards needed improved service. The room was always clean but was on the small side and looking a littel tired Location was good for riverside walks but too far out for the sites and shops and transport was more difficult Breakfast service was poor. We had to chase to be shown to our seat, no one asked us if we wanted coffee or tea, i had to ask for everything as no waiter ever approached us. The breakast times were not clear. Generally i felt that the hotel focussed on business trade and not the individual

Excellent Hotel

Hotel service and location was excellent. On the river and walking distance from Clark Quay. Good conference facilities. Relax by taking long walks along the river in the mornings or evenings after work, or swim in the pool. Great service and value for money.
