Great for the price
Basically the hotel is just fine. If you’re looking for something cheap, clean, located in the heart of Puerto Vallarta, this hotel does the job. I picked this based on the price and wasn’t disappointed. By no means a great hotel, but if you just need somewhere to sleep for a night or two, this should do the job just fine.

won’t go back
This is the only actual hotel we have stayed at in Mexico, so we don’t really have anything to compare it to, but we will not stay there again. We had to put our room key in a small box on the wall for the electric to work and when we left the room we had to take our room key with us, of course, so the electric would go off. When we would return the room would be burning up because the air conditioning would go off, but I think we were one of the lucky ones to have an air conditioner. We are very lucky we only stayed one night or our trip would not have been that good. The pool did look nice and the hotel was right off the main road which made it easier for walking to get to things. I didn’t see any bugs, so that is a plus.

Could have been better
The main problem with this hotel was the fact that construction was going on with the building of a new wing. It was very noisy and the pool area was not at all private with construction workers moving about. So overall, it was not a restful place to stay for the cost. Perhaps when the work is finished--which looked like it would be several months from now--the place would be more enjoyable.
