Very nice and comfortable
We would not hestitate to return to this hotel. The staff was friendly and the room was comfortable and clean. The only thing that was so-so was the breakfast. It was pretty limited. Other than that, it was a very nice stay.

Convenient and affordable
This hotel is within walking distance of downtown and Little Italy. My room was in back of the hotel and the often mentioned trains did not bother me; I didn’t really notice them. Hampton Inn breakfast was good and the staff was very helpful.
The farmers market are Saturday in Little Italy, a few block from Hampton Inn, was worthwhile. Little Italy itself was a nice area, with an authentic feel.

GREAT LOCATION
Shuttle from airport and to cruise ship worked great. Breakfast good. Front desk staff very helpful. There is alot of train noise but did not stop us from sleeping. Plus access to the trolley right behind the hotel was great. Don’t let this stop you if you are traveling next year because they might be starting a quiet zone on somekind. San Diego should be very proud of their trolley system.
