Millinnium Hotel - Christchurch, New Zealand
A five-star hotel in the heart of the city, across from the main cathedral. Excellent staff, good food, easy walking to many city sites. Highly recommend for business or leisure.
Traveller's tip
For travellers planning to visit several cities, the GPS is highly recommended, particularly for those drivers unaccustomed to driving on the left side of the road. Milford Sound is a "rain forest" with rain 200 days/year, so plan accordingly.

Great place to stay in centre of Christchurch
Quiet with good facilties and views. Excellent first night stop before commencing our tour of South Island

To get orientated do ride a circuit or two on the tram - discounted combined price with visit up the Gondola available from the info Centre. Breakfast at Cafe Roma on Oxford Terrace and dinner at Cook ’n with Gas - opposite the Art Centre - which is also worth a look.
