very good hotel for its value

if you go for bazaars and flea markets then this is the perfect hotel for you.. it is small but clean and comfortable.. for the money we paid this was very very good.. the hotel also has free airport shuttle to the express train station which is a big plus and a savings of $30HK .. it is conveniently located near food shops .. i will recommend and consider booking again in the future

Teeny-tiny and noisy but....cheap & clean

Nothing out of the ordinary for budget travel in Hong Kong - you get exactly what you pay for. The Good: - Cheap; keep your cost/benefit ratio in mind and have fun outside your room. I repeat this place is only slightly nicer than a highway side motel in the US, and MUCH, MUCH smaller. - Location; a 1.5 block walk to Yaumatei MTR station (Entrance C), right next to Temple Street night market (those with impressionable kids should avoid the segment of the street right across from the hotel’s front door as it mainly sells sex toys), 2 blocks from the public library (w/free wifi), and 2 blocks off Nathan road (thus, its easy to find) - Housekeeping; seems like they really do a good job keeping the small, modern-designed rooms clean The Bad: - very unfriendly and unhelpful front desk (though it is HK, and is to be expected in budget places) - Food; their breakfast buffet is not worth it, even if they give it to you for free - Wifi; HK100/day is the fee, which is ridiculous considering it will give you a weak connection at best, and only with your laptop positioned somewhere inconvenient and not on the desk. - Airport Shuttle; they don’t have one, either way. Take MTR to Kowloon Station and then cab it. - Renovations; they were doing them when I was there, though nothing anywhere said anything about it prior to arrival

Traveller's tip on saving a few bucks

If you’re traveling budget and are considering somewhere in Chungking Mansions, this is the place for you. About same price, but safer, cleaner and more convenient than CKM.

Dorsett Was nice

This is a nice hotel near Temple Street Market. The rooms were clean but small. I enjoyed the hotel and would stay here again. It was being renovated on our stay but we only heard noise during the day. At night it was quiet. Our floor was completely renovated.
