Horrible Hotel in Luton. DO NOT STAY THERE
Arrived at the hotel at 10 PM and the only food available was baguette of chicken Tika Masala. Had to call for a pizza delivery. The room was clean, but very small and the heating was in the max, making the room very stuffed. Asked for a wake up call for 6 Am, they never called me. Luckly i had my own alarm, otherwise i would have missed the flight. When I checked-in they asked for a guarantee on my credit card for £ 30,00. The next morning on the check-out, when i asked to the authorization to be cancelled, they informed me that i would have to call my credit card company and cancel myself. I was really upset and all that the staff said was: im sorry, but those are the rules. I want to know what rules are those that are never explained to the customer when i arrived? IF YOU CAN...AVOID THIS HOTEL

Excellent
Room was clean and comfortable. Staff were attentive without being ’pushy’ and their restaurant was good. We only spent one night there, but I would certainly use it again. We had come from a 4Star hotel in Switzerland at twice the price per night, and to be frank the Menzies Strathmore was far better in every aspect.

Unadorned Dump
This hotel might be redeemable if the service wasn’t terrible. I bought a wifi 24hr voucher, and when the wifi didn’t work, the staff had the gall to tell me "there was nothing they could do," because I had scratched of the grey bit hiding the code. They refused to refund me the ten pounds, even though they admitted they were having a problem with their network. The bed was uncomfortable, the room made me sneeze (mold?), and the staff is a bunch of poorly dressed louts. The only redeemable aspect of the hotel was a very nice man serving breakfast, although they didn’t get my eggs right. I am supposed to stay there later this week and am canceling, even if it means eating the cost to go somewhere else.
