Very friendly and attentive front desk staff - made you feel welcomed
As I went in Winter season, I was greated with a glass of sherry at check-in. Was given a very nice overview of hotel, and local restaurants. Staff member was friendly, had good sense of humor and was attentive. As I came in and out during the week, he always said hello as well did the other members of the staff.
Traveller's tip on saving a few bucks
While there was always a taxi service close by, be prepared for fares to change and be comfortable in negotiating a fare before going anywhere. Some taxis have meters, others do not.

Great choice in Cape Town
Really impressed by this hotel, far exceeded our expectations and great value for the price. Room was v comfy, such soft sheets and towels! And the glass bricks round the bathroom were cool. Breakfast is amazing! Location is good, walking distance to Waterkant bars and restaurants, not much further to V&A and city centre. Would definitely recommend.

Head to Cape Quarter for good food and bars - just a 5-10 min walk from this hotel.

Big rooms, great location considering price
Cool, alternative kind of hotel with sizeable rooms and friendly staff. Got very cheap deal through Expedia, not sure if norm. While the view is nothing to write home about, the proximity to the Waterfront, Beach rd and Camps Bay make it an attractive compromise. Would recommend for a few days’ stay, but the lack of a view and the busy surrounding roads, suggest this is not the ideal location for a relaxing extended stay.
