Very nice Guesthouse in old Munich!
This was a very nice "no-frills" hotel. Rooms were spotless, as was the bathroom and shower. There is a nice restaurant and bar at the main level. You need to ignore the church bells across the street! I would definitely stay there again.

Great Last-Minute Reservation in Munchen
I thought this was a great last-minute reservation for a fairly budget hotel in Munich. I was quite glad that the hotel was slightly outside of the central tourist zone (Marienplatz) in a calm area of town. There was a bus station going to the old-town center very close by, and also a metro station not too far away. The staff was very pleasant and they had free coffee in the lobby.
I highly recommend the Hunting and Fishing Museum in Munich, in the center of the old-town area.

AltMunchen Hotel
Friendly and helpful staff. A warm welcome and excellent facilities. Hotel is well placed for travelling around Munich and within walking distance of the Deutsche Museum.

Deutsche museum is a must if you are in Munich. Make sure you get a travel card as the public transport is first class.
