Distinctly Unimpressed
We chose this hotel based on our previous positive Hilton experiences. What a disappointment. Grubby and aged decor badly in need of a even window cleaner. Basic level of cleanliness and one or two friendly staff can’t make up for such poor presentation. Oh and no parking facilities adds to the disappointment. 4 stars? Really? Needless to say, we will never stay here again.

Good All Rounder for Weekend Break
I booked this hotel direct via Hilton back in January, and then found the booking approx. £100 cheaper (for a 4 night stay), on Hotels.com a couple of months later. Well worth cancelling and rebooking via Hotels.com! The Hotel was of the typical standard you would expect for a 4 * City Centre venue. Rooms were of a decent size, clean and comfortable. The location for Nottingham City Centre could not have been better. Breakfast was excellent, and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable for us tourists! Nice leisure facilities, including a decent sized pool. Though the Jacuzzi was a little chilly as attached to the main pool! Only bad-point was that the decor was perhaps slighty dated. Overall, was perfect for a long-weekend stay and I would defnitely recommend it.
Nottingham Caves and the Museum of Justice are well-worth a visit. Also had a great-value night at Jonguleurs Comedy - do not be put-off by the ’Side Tables’ (cheaper tickets) as the seats are directly above the stage on the balcony, and we had an outstanding view!

Staff Service Best in The World!
All the staff at this hotel were wonderful and most helpful during our four-day stay. I always thought that there wasn’t anywhere to equal the breakfast at the Melbourne Hylton but this one was just as good. Thank you!
We were told to ask for breakfast vouchers at reception which reduced the cost of breakfast to £10 each.
