Way-overpriced in a great location
The hotel room was so small we were sorry we did not refuse it and ask for another. The solitary window opened onto a large, filthy airshaft other travelers were using for smoking. The internet access was never available and the service indifferent. The Rue St.Germain de Pres is a magnificent place to explore Paris from but this hotel is not worth staying at.
Traveller's tip on dining
Peres et Filles cafe & restaurant, 81 Rue de Seine, off St.Germain de Pres, truly great food.

Small room but pleasant
The room was small and the view was a couple of walls, but the room was nice and well decorated. The bath was nice but with a very small shower stall. The location cannot be beat! And all of the staff were very gracious. This is a hotel that cares about its guests.
Traveller's tip on dining
Try Le Petite Pantoise just a few blocks away. Very tiny, VERY good traditional French food.

Good quality hotel in the heart of Paris
The front desk staff at Le Madison was friendly, helped us find our way around, and spoke English very well. The room was comfortable but small, but not tiny. We had plenty of room to walk around the bed with two suitcases on the floor. Although the bed is listed as a queen, its the size of an American double. The bathroom was bigger than I thought it would be. I hurt my back just days before and was able to lay completely down in the bathtub for a good hot soak. Im 510" and 207 pounds. Great location for getting around Paris.
Traveller's tip on saving a few bucks
Unless you have it all planned out to visit at least 2 or 3 sites per day listed on the Museum Pass, dont buy it. The Eiffel Tower and the Catacombs are not covered and the smaller museums that I wanted to visit were hard to find.
