Recommended - with reservations
A clean hotel which once problems were sorted out was a nice place to stay. This is really the only option in Ludhiana so a few problems were a bit irritating. On check-in, the staff asked us to pay as they said that expedia had not paid for the room. Only on producing receipts and them making a few phone calls was the problem sorted. This happenned last year as well! The room was clean but they took ages (over an hour) to sort anything out. This was despite booking the club room with the so-called butler service. We asked for a couple of extra pillows and they hadn’t made the 3rd camp bed, despite the booking being clear. This took a few phone calls to sort out -but again this irritated. The room was very noisy the first night, but we asked them to change our room to the quiet side which was much better. Do ask for the quite side. Again it took ages to set the room up! On discussing things with management, they seemed a bit disinterested, but with a bit of pressure they did sort things out. It is worth the minimal extra to book the club level rooms, to include the wonderful buffet breakfast and avail of the complimentary station transfers. There is even a complimentary head massage! I will stay again next year, a bit out of choice but mainly because there is no other choice!
Traveller's tip on dining
For dinner/snacks, eat at the brand new Pizza Hut and Costa next door! Clean and cheap.

Very nice
We stayed in club room, nice decor, big sized bathroom. Overall very happy, will reccomend to others.

A very good hotel
We had a very enjoyable stay in mid February 2008. Hotel is very attractive and comfortable. Service and facilities were very good. The only meals we took were breakfasts. These were very good. We felt the hotel was good value for money and as good as most four star hotels. We thought the towels were grey and asked for replacements. We had to ask for the hairdryer, which was said to be a standard fitting in the room. We had a standard room for one night and the next grade up for three nights, but we found it difficult to distinguish between them. But altogether a very good experience.
