LET ME SLEEP

I expected this place to be a bit noisy with street traffic on busy Euston Road. However I input a wake up call for 4 AM to catch Eurostar and the thing went off everyday after for several days. It took them 4 days to fix it. Very annoying, you could not turn it off. Room was good size for UK. Convenient to train station, not the nicest end of London but an area that has improved much over the last decade. If you need to be close to train stay there, if not stay in Hyde Park where it’s much quieter.

Most museums are free. Imperial War Museum, Science Museum, V&A are a must. National Gallery is worth the time also. All the other obvious must see things can be done in a day on the big bus. Catch a football game for real sports passion. Eat in pubs, it’s much cheaper.

Expensive, but worth for it

Very luxurious hotel, but worth for it. About 3-5 minutes walk from Kings Cross St Pancras Station, access also possible to Euston Station, 7-8 minutes walk from the hotel. Walls may be too thin, you can sometime hear the noises from next room.

Not impressed

The hotel was chosen because of its location. However the welcome was rude to say the least, we were given the wrong room (two single beds), the wrong paperwork was provided and we discovered long black hair in the bathroom (we are both fair and have short hair) - totally unacceptable. We will never stay there again and will be advising friends and relations of our experience. As a result of this, we did not attend the restaurant there either.
