Comfortable convenient hotel

We stayed in Hotel Batory early September. It is 10 minutes walk from the centre and and is comfortable. Good breakfast. Although opposite the ambulance station very little disturbance.

Traveller's tip on dining

Had dinner at Aperitif. just off the main square. Very reasonable and excellent food.

Good location

Very pleased with the choice of hotel for our trip to Krakow. The Batory is in a fairly unimpressive backstreet but is well located to both the Old Town and the Bus & Rail Stations so access to anywhere is easy, including to and from the airport. And don’t underestimate the quality of food at the hotel. The breakfast is very decent and, whilst I wouldn’t normally take an evening meal at a hotel it turned out that, for convenience one evening, we stayed in and had what was an excellent meal and very good value. I am unlikely to visit Krakow againn but if I did would be quite happy to stay at the Batory again.

Traveller's tip on getting the most out of your stay

Get up and make an early start to your day. Some visits take longer than anticipated. We were out after breakfast by 08:30 and in hindsight that worked in our favour, especially for the trips to Auschwitz and the Salt Mine. Make use of Public Transport and don’t pay any more than 20 PLN for any taxi trip.

Would definitely go back

The hotel was extremely comfortable and had everything we needed for a wonderful stay. The staff were extremely helpful, professional and friendly and were only too happy to help with any queries we had. The buffet breakfast had a wide range on offer and the evening meals at the hotel cannot be recommended highly enough. We will definitely return to the Batory hotel.

Traveller's tip on local attractions

Lots of attractions to view in and around Krakow from the Castle to Salt Mines and Auschwitz to tours of the Old Town, Ghetto and Jewish Quarter and every one well worth a visit. Local musical concerts are a must.
