Very happy with our stay
The hotel... was as most previous reviews mentioned and there were no surprises. The hardest thing was finding the place with Gps in our hire care as the address does not take you to the small street where you can park the car while unloading your luggage. True to their word the Supermarket carpark across the street was a good place to park the car when not in use. The staff were friendly and I will certainly stay here again should I return to Marseille.

Great location - will return!!
We had a 2 night stop on the way back from Barcelona by train and were really pleased with our choice. The subway journey from main station to Vieux Port was a simple one with the hotel a mere 1 minute walk from the metro (if you get the right entrance). 2 minutes walk from hotel brings you to the actual port side. All the staff were friendly, polite and helpful and despite the prime "downtown" location we found it very quiet at night. (Might be different in the summer season). Cannot comment on the food as we ate out even for breakfast.
Traveller's tip on dining
Couscous very popular and we had a good Vegetable CousCous at La Kahena which is 5 mins walk from hotel at 2, rue de la Republique. (Plenty of meat and fish choices) The friendly owner even gave me a wave when I walked past the next day.

Good for a short stop
Marseille is a lovely port town that we spent one night in and this hotel was everything we needed. Great location, good staff and nice room. Big bathroom for a European hotel too.
Traveller's tip on local attractions
Do not get a taxi from the train station, as there is a metro there that you can take directly to the hotel. The taxi drivers will over charge tourists.
