Great Hotel on Central Park South
Great experience staying at the Jumeirah Essex House. I was there to run the marathon so the location was perfect. Room was large and clean and comfortable. All staff I worked with were great. My only complaint is that they charge for WIFI and for time on the computers in the business center. I like to stay in high end hotels and consider internet something that should be included with the room.

Excellent location and very good hotel - at a price.
Chose this hotel for its location - and therefore it was never going to be inexpensive. Although we didnt use any hotel facilities (breakfasts and dinners being taken within surrounding area) staff were always polite, friendly and efficient. Having recently undergone a multi million dollar refurbishement our expectations were high - and we were not disappointed. Standard bedroom (not park view) and bathroom were not large but adequate size , well furnished and very comfortable - although the lighting system took some time to understand!! Large wall mounted flat screen TV, super sensitive minibar (open the fridge door, pick up a product and replace it registers a "purchase" on your room account - but reception are obviously used to adjusting room accounts.) Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will stay again - only one complaint which is common for many city "business" hotels - $15 + tax for 24hrs WiFi is a rip off - many local coffee shops have free WiFi.
