Tiny rooms, but immaculately clean

The front desk is only open from 8am to 6pm. At other times, you have to use the desk at the hotel next door. It wasn’t particularly pleasant to lug my things up to the 4th floor, but I didn’t mind terribly either. Could see how it would be a big issue for some people. The shower and sink were in the room, but had to use the bathroom outside. The room barely had enough floor space for me to do some push ups and the bed was small by American standards. If I wasn’t there by myself, it really wouldn’t have worked. Wireless Internet worked fine and there was a small TV in the room (not that I had much time for either). The neighborhood is terrific. Got to have dinner at Italian, Indian, Persian, Greek and Chinese restaurants within a 3 block radius. Close enough to go for a run in Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park. Also, have to give credit where it’s due - the hotel was extremely clean.

Inexpensive, clean and quiet

Extremely friendly and helpful staff who are available from 8am until 6pm. No worries if you need assistance since hotel next door is owned by the same company. They are able to assist 24/7. Rooms are small but extremely clean. Had to hike up a few flights of stairs but we all need the exercise. No luxuries here. Perfect for anyone who wants a clean, inexpensive room to crash in after a full day of London sightseeing. Quiet neighborhood near two Tube stations. Highly recommended.

Mid-October is ideal if you love fall. Leaves are just starting to turn. Temp in the mid-50’s. London doesn’t seem too overrun with tourists at this time. Heathrow’s normally a breeze to fly into. I recommend booking the Heathrow Express into London. 15 minute train ride into the heart of London.

more that I expected

It was one of the chipest hotels that I cheked, but the only thing that keeps this hotel at 2 star level is the fact that the breakfast is served in near by hotel. Reception girl was very nice, room cleaned every day. defenetly the hotel for my next trip to london
