Good place to stay for day access to Kruger National Park
There is a leopard that comes on to the grounds, many guests saw it down by the swimming pool. You can sit and have cocktails and shine the eyes of dozens of cape buffalo and a couple hippos from the deck bar in the evening.

Make sure you go on a wildlife night drive with Able from the Kruger Gate Park Office. He is a fantastic guide!

Wonderful experience
We were welcomed with a cool towelette and cold juice by John. Check in was quick & efficient. Lots of space in the room + a mini refrigerator. Bathroom needs a fan and a little bit of mold (tiny) because of this. Lots of English TV stations. Both breakfast and dinner buffets had a large assortment of fresh vegetables, fruits and pasteries. Meats and seafood were all very well prepared. Some African dishes and wild game also. We tipped for the buffet service (they brought you drinks & coffee) and we were sincerely thanked. One minute to Paul Kruger gate--saw animals within 2 minutes of arrival. Very pleasant experience.

Excellent Value
Hotel is in a wonderful position next to the Kruger gate for anyone wanting to self drive through the park. Apart from an unfortunate incident on arrival where the hotel could not find our reservation the stay was excellent. Rooms were a little dated but acceptable and all other facilities , restaurant, bar , pool were very good with the service always very attentive and helpful. Dinner is a buffet but the offering changed every night so there was always a good choice and the breakfasts were excellent.
Bring a fleece for the early morning game drives, it can be very cold driving in an open sided vehicle at 05:00.
