As good a hotel stay as I’ve had anywhere
Very satisfied with this hotel, efficiently run, quiet, good breakfast arrangements,room clean and spacious,if a little spartan. Sound-proofing really did mean you couldn’t hear the traffic on the busy junction. It’s some way from Vienna centre but right next to the station from which you can easily get there. But the half hour walk to the centre along a single road is by no means unpleasant.

Good hotel and good price
Stayed at Allegro in early September and was generally good value for money. Not close to center but only a short tram ride away. On the negative side, breakfast room got a little crowded and the bacon contained more fat than meat.

Well connected and very economical hotel
This hotel is very well connected and was perfect for our holiday. The staff were extremely polite and helpful. They helped us with directions, provided us with maps and other helpful tips. The breakfast had variety and the fruits were always fresh. Our room even tough was road facing and on the 2nd floor, had double gazing windows and air conditioning, hence there was no need to open it and was noise free. The room itself was big and with all basic facilities. The best thing was the separate toilet and shower rooms and ample space. This was a non smoking room, but with the carpet, had a slight stale smell. However this was not stay spoiler. I very much recommend this hotel, purely for its staff’s courtesy, facilities like free internet and quality breakfast, and most definitely the price, and the connectivity into main city Vienna and other attractions accessible from the S-Bahn Station and Tram services right opposite this hotel! Highly Recommended.
To go to places like Mödling or Meidling (for Melk or Krems etc.) the Matzleinsdorferplatz station opposite this hotel, is extremely helpful. Also from there, the Tram Numbers 1 and 62 take you right in the heart of the Vienna city like Schwedenplatz and Opera House respectively, where you’ll find noodle bars, pizza, kebab shops etc. can be visited using Tram 1. You can take the same tram which follows the Ring Tram route (for tourists) to see all the main attractions & come back to the hotel.
