Excellent hotel, very good location

This hotel was very well located and very comfortable. Diagonal metro station just on the next corner (about 50 meters to the right from the hotel). That’s also the Rambla de Catalunya. Follow this road all the way to the Marina and Aquarium. It is a very nice and interesting walk. We were there over a weekend and found loads of street stalls and street performers. Before we knew it we were at the sea-side. Going to the left from the hotel you’ll find a busy commercial street on the next corner. And across that street is Gaudi’s weird looking building, Casa Mila (La Pedrera). Sagrada Familia is about a 20 minute walk from the hotel but is only 2 stops away from Diagonal metro station. The hotel staff were very friendly, always helpful and courteous. The rooms were always clean and very comfortable. We did not use the hotel’s restaurant because we opted to eat at some of the many nice streetside restaurants in Rambla de Catalunya. Definitely recommended to anyone going to Barcelona.

On Rambla de Catalunya you’ll find loads of different restaurants. We found a restaurant named Happy Bar & Grill. I’d recommend their breakfast but dinner there must be avoided. Every other restaurant we ate at on this road was very good.

Stayed 2 nights

Stayed here 2 nights prior to a cruise. Hotel staff was very friendly. They honored requests for early arrivals and late checkouts. They were also very helpful finding good places (very plentiful) to eat in the local neighborhood. Speaking of the local neighborhood, the street in front of the hotel is still under construction as of this writing but noise was minimal. Taxis did have access to the front entrance. The only drawback to this facility was that breakfast in the hotel dining room was ridiculously expensive. The food was decent but overpriced. If you want breakfast I would recommend booking it with the B&B room rate or going out elsewhere locally. There is a coffee shop / patiserie across the street.

There is great dining in the surrounding neighborhood....lots of good choices all within walking distance. Ask for recommendations at the front desk...they seem to know what they’re talking about.

Very good hotel, but let astray by Tapas Bar Recommendation

The hotel was very nice and conveniently located. Our room was quite small and the bathroom surprisingly large. Bed seemed kind of old and too hard. When we asked the clerk for recommendations for a tapas bar, we were strongly encouraged to try a particular place. The place was extremely busy, but the tapas were of very poor quality and expensive. That being said however, the staff was very helpful and accommodating on all other issues. The free wifi was helpful.
