Would definitely recommend this hotel!
We stayed at The Knight Residence with our two children and were very impressed with how comfortable we were. The apartment was very spacious and clean and the kids loved that they could rent DVDs from the lobby in the evenings to play in our room. The breakfast pack that was included was also an added bonus. We had everything we needed without having to go out and look for any items for the morning time. The location was perfect and a short walk to many attractions. The icing on the cake was the incredibly pleasant and helpful staff. They were always there to give suggestions, advice and to make us as comfortable as possible. I would definitely recommend The Knight Residence!

Best Hotel in Great Britain!
I have now stayed at the Knight Residence three times and I hope to be able to stay here again many times. The staff is excellent! They have worked hard to make this establishment as comfortable as your own home. I stumbled upon them when I was stranded in Edinburgh two years ago and it was the -best- thing to happen to me the entire week. There is no reason to stay anywhere but here if you are in Edinburgh. Each apartment has a kitchen, dining area, "family room" area and the bedroom(s). There is a washer/dryer in the kitchen. These are all in one units - so don’t try to do as big a load as you would at home or your clothes will never dry. :) The location is very convenient - a 5 minute walk to Grassmarket. The only possible draw back is that there are a couple of adult clubs near as well. If you are looking for an adult club, however, it would be a plus. They seem classy, if that eases your mind. The bouncers for one (same ones as two years ago haha) were very helpful with directions! Bottom line - stay here, you will not only not regret it... you will love it. I guarantee.
Grassmarket is full of places to eat, and at night... night life! The Royal Mile has many shops as well as just looking awesome. 2009 the city began construction on a tram system so some streets will be closed during the next 2-4 years. Oct 2009 Princes Street was under construction, but you can still get around by walking. The Scott Monument is on Princes Str; it is worth braving the construction to climb to the top - fabulous views! Georges Str has a lot of clothing stores, most of them high end, good restaurants and a few clubs. Do -not- miss the Castle! At the top of the Royal Mile (also accessible via stairs off of Grassmarket). Just outside of the Castle is The Scotch Whiskey Experience. Fun for the whole family!

Your apartment at Edinburgh
Very nice accomodations. A place to stay as comfortable as at home. Good for travel with family or when you are not into the "rush" timing of tourist hotels. Staff is friendly and helpful, gave good reccomendations on places to eat and helped with booking activitied and tours in Edinburgh and arround. Accomodation is a real apartment, fully equiped for a living: bedroom, living room with video ans stereo, bathroom, equiped kitchen. Ready to use (with instructions and supplies). Ten minute walking to the Royal Mile. Free Internet terminal in the hall at every floor, free Wi-Fi Internet in the apartments. Car parking facilities. NOTE: staff only from 7a.m. to 11p.m., but "emergency" phone number supplied in case of need. (Check-in not possible after 11p.m.).
