Disappointed
My husband and I live in the suburbs of Mpls and this hotel is in the same building as his law firm. Therefore, we often stay at the Marquette for a quick little getaway. We have always had exceptional rooms and service while staying there and always pick it over the newer hotels. However, this stay was different and dissappointing. There were no robes in our room, a much smaller room and poor bedding on the bed. Those are the things that we really look for when "getting away" for the night. We will try the W or Chambers next time.

Newly Redone
My stay at the Marquette was great! Other than all the construction that was going on all around in the streets, which they couldnt help, I would not have changed a thing. Well, there was a certain desk manager (Pierre I believe was his name) who rolled his eyes when he realized I was from Texas. Other than that, the bellhop was very friendly and helpful, and the other desk clerks were very nice people. This room was the nicest Ive ever stayed in. The bathrooms had been redone recently and looked spectacular. There was a 44 in. flat screen in the room with a great channel line-up. Although I didnt choose to consume anything in the mini bar, a large variety of items was available to me. I will definitely stay here again if I come back to Minneapolis.
Traveller's tip on dining
Nothing in the Skyway stays open past 6 or 7 so If you want something to eat late in the evening, you have to venture out into the streets to a restaurant or bar. Late-night fast food is nearly non-existent. Try Hells Kitchen a few blocks away from the Marquette Hotel off of Marquette St. They have live music many nights a week and great burgers.
