Go for the hotel, leave for the food
Terrific hotel but 18 Euros for 2 pieces of cheap white bread and 1 slice of ham (not joking, what an insult! And that was about the cheapest thing on the menu. If you go to La Residencia, don’t eat there, the food is lousy and the prices outrageous. Go where the staff go (and Andrew Lloyd Webber, who we saw there). Not more than 2 minutes walk from the hotel is an excellent Tapas bar called Xelini. The food is outstanding, the prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is wonderful.
Traveller's tip on dining
DON’T EAT THERE, it looks lovely but the food is public school quality at outrageous prices and the menu is small, there isn’t even much to choose from.
